STATISTICAL DATA ON ANALYSIS OF COMBUSTION GASES
FROM STEAM BOILERS RUNNING ON FUEL OIL

This information is provided for the data archive of users of steam boilers with burners consuming fuel oil, and is extracted from our Database of average data from the analysis of combustion gases recorded during recent years in several plants.

Data are included for periods prior to 01/01/2003, for boilers that used Fuel Oil No. 2 (Spanish standards), with 2.7% sulphur, and similar data, from 01/01/2003 onwards, using fuel oil with a maximum sulphur content of 1%, obligatory in the European Union since 1 January 2005.

The data on emissions always refer to a content of O2 of 3% in exhaust gases, in accordance with legal regulations to limit pollutant emissions in boilers, in order that the data should appear homogeneous and comparative. The Bacharach Index is determined for gases as they leave the manifolds, that is, with their actual O2 content.
