"rb bertomeu" beco DC-Ship               Since May 2001

Additive that must be added to the diesel oil in order to optimize the combustion and reduce maintenance costs in large diesel engines, especially marine engines, although it can also be used in power generation engines.

Effects: Inhibitor of corrosion by vanadium and sodium. Saves fuel. Reduces pollution. Decants water. Reduces corrosion in valves and turbos. Reduces breakdowns.

The product is the NONFLAMMABLE  version (Flash point of 66ēC) and with the ENHANCED ANTI-CORROSION EFFECT, of the beco DC additive, to be used in facilities whose regulations requires so, and used for marine diesel oil with more suphur, metallic impurities and sludges than the normal diesel oil used in power plants. The anticorrosion effect for valves and turbos has been enhanced and designed to obtain a result close to that of the beco F1/ASF additive.

PRESENTATION :         Metal drums of   50 litres.
                                  Metal drums of   200 litres.

IBC Plastic tank of 1000 litres.

The additive is manufactured, in correct proportions, based on the following active agents:

a) De-emulsioners, which accelerate the speed of separation of the water to the bottom of the storage tank, or the diesel oil tank of the vehicle , where it can be eliminated easily by bleeding the tank , or by the fuel filter centrifugal of the installation.

b) Surfactants, which  reduce the surface tension of the fuel and achieve better pulverisation (a key factor to achieve good combustion in any type of engine that works with liquid fuel).

c)  Detergents, which  reduce the formation of carbonous deposits and flow loss in the injectors, and maintains an excellent pulverisation.

d) Corrosion inhibitors, which  protect the metal parts of the fuel circuits.

e) Solution of organic Magnesium, which  reduces the corrosion produced by the combustion exhaust gases, due to the impurities which the diesel oil contains( mainly sulphur ) and the corrosive compounds which  they generate.

f) Organic solvents, which  work as an excipient to these active agents, in addition to collaborate actively in keeping the fuel circuits clean.

ADDITION POINT:   The addition must take place at the storage tank, before loading the fuel or simultaneously with it, in order to achieve a good homogenisation of the additive with the diesel oil.

Dose for the first fill up :        1  L / 1,000 L of diesel oil

   Normal maintenance dose      :  0.3-0.5  L / 1,000 L of diesel oil
